GENERAL INFORMATION AND RULES

Varda Ultra Trail Genel Bilgi

An unforgettable race experience where you will run through history, exploring the Taurus Mountains and Çakıt Valley from end to end.
The race will start on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at 07:30, from the entrance of Yerköprü Restaurant. It is a 57 km mountain trail race with a total elevation gain of +3,293 meters.

On this course, you will traverse the Taurus Mountains surrounded by breathtaking nature. After the 31st kilometer, you will enter Belemedik Nature Park and run along the Çakıt Valley, finishing at the historic Varda Bridge.

Participants are granted a total time limit of 11 hours. The race will be held under a partial self-sufficiency principle.

Participation Requirements

  • Open to all athletes aged 18 and above.

  • A medical report stating "no objection to running" (issued within the last 6 months from a private/public hospital or health center) or a valid federation license (Athletics, Triathlon, Cycling, Mountaineering) is required for participation.

  • International licenses are accepted.

Registration

a) Registration Method

  • Only registered runners are allowed to participate in the race.

  • Registrations are made via www.vardaultratrail.com.

  • The last registration date is October 31, 2025, at 11:59 PM.

  • Participant limit: 250 people

  • Registration cannot be transferred to another person.

b) Registration Fee

  • 1.500 TL

  • Payment is made via Visa/MasterCard.

  • Included in the fee:

    • Race bib number

    • Timing services

    • Running t-shirt

    • Food and beverage support at aid stations

    • Finisher medal

    • Transfers to the start and from the finish line

c) Registration Cancellation and Refund

  • Cancellations made by October 31, 2025 will be refunded (within one month).

  • No refunds will be issued after this date.

  • In case of force majeure cancellation, the fee will be transferred to the next event.

  • If the organization itself cancels the event, fees will be refunded within 45 days.

  • Cancellations must be submitted in writing to info@vardaultratrail.com .

Race Kit Collection

  • November 7, 2025 (Friday): 12:00 – 20:00

  • November 8, 2025 (Saturday): 05:00 – 08:00

Race Start

  • Participants must be at the start area on November 8, 2025, at 07:00.

  • The race starts at 07:30.

  • Drop Bag Delivery:

    • Until 20:00 on November 7

    • Until 05:30 on November 8

Race Course Information

Total distance: 57 km with +3,293 m elevation gain.
Route: Kapıkaya Canyon, Yerköprü, Karakılıç, Ekecik, Belemedik, Taşdurmaz, Av Control House, Kuşçular, Çakıt Valley, Kıralan, Bolacalı, Varda Bridge.

4 km of asphalt, the rest consists of trails and forest roads. Cutting the course leads to disqualification.

  • Waste must not be thrown into nature.

  • Support can only be received at checkpoints.

  • Participants who withdraw from the race must call the emergency number and report it.

Transfer

  • Departure: 06:00 – Adana Train Station → Yerköprü Start

  • Return: Varda Bridge → Adana Train Station: 13:30, 14:30, 16:00, 17:30, 19:30

Mandatory Equipment

  • 1 L water container

  • Race bib number

  • Mobile phone

  • Emergency blanket

  • Whistle

  • Rain jacket

  • Long-sleeved clothing

  • Bere/buff

  • Headlamp + spare batteries

  • Cup

  • Gloves

  • Timing chip

Recommended: energy gels/bars, elastic bandage, gaiters, poles, trail running shoes.
Leaving poles results in a 30-minute penalty.

Disqualification and Time Penalties

  • Missing a checkpoint

  • Taking shortcuts

  • Receiving unauthorized assistance

  • Littering

  • Refusing a medical check

  • Lacking mandatory equipment

Penalties:

  • Leaving trekking poles: 30 minutes penalty

  • Leaving the marked course: 1 hour

  • Unsportsmanlike behavior: 1 hour penalty

  • Repeated outside assistance: Disqualification

Results and Awards

  • Results will be published on www.vardaultratrail.com.

  • Kategoriler: Erkek/Kadın Genel, 40-, 40+, 50+, 60+.

  • There is no monetary prize; all finishers receive a medal.

  • Plaques are awarded to Male and Female Overall Winners.

  • Award ceremony: Sunday, November 9, 2025, at 11:00 AM – Adana Train Station Square.

Use of Visual Material

  • Participants are deemed to have granted permission for their photos and videos to be used for promotional purposes.

Waiver

  • Participants are deemed to have accepted the rules upon registration.

  • The organization cannot be held responsible for any accidents or damages that may occur.
